New research assistant at the IIB

On 01. April 2023 Jens Wala, M.Sc. started his work as a research assistant at the Institute of Numerical Methods and Informatics in Civil Engineering. Mr. Wala is going to supervise the course “Engineering Informatics II” in the coming terms.

Mr. Wala studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt in his Bachelor's and Master's degree. In addition, Mr. Wala was able to aggregate work experience in construction logistics at Ed. Züblin AG, in software engineering at PROSTEP AG as well as in research and teaching at the institute.

Mr. Wala will mainly work at the interdisciplinary Research Training Group KRITIS .

Mr. Walas research focusses on the autonomous control and monitoring of critical infrastructures as well as the application of technologies of the internet of things and industry 4.0.
