A new face at IIB

Since March 1st, 2018, the Institute for Numerical Methods and Informatics in Civil Engineering has received reinforcements. Ms. Meiling Shi ,M.Sc., has started her work as a research assistent with various tasks regarding teaching and research projects at the institute. With the new addition, the number of PhD candidates is increased to ten.

New at IIB: Meiling Shi

The Institute of Numerical Methods and Informatics in Civil Engineering welcomes its newest member, Ms. Meiling Shi. Beginning with the summer semester of 2018, Ms. Shi will advise in the master lectures “Informatics in Civil and Environmental Engineering 1 & 2 (IIB1 / IIB2)” in the institute's teaching program. Taking over from Anna Wagner, M.Sc., the new term is set to start next April.

Ms. Shi finished her master‘s degree in 'Civil Engineering' here at TU Darmstadt and holds a bachelor‘s degree from Chang‘an University (China). In her previous research she has focused on the application of optimization methods in construction logistics and on topics related to digital building modeling as well as coordination and collaboration within the framework of BIM.
