Master's Thesis Receives Recognition at BEGIS BIM Award

The Institute for Numerical Methods and Informatics in Civil Engineering (iib)is pleased to announce that Jens Wala's master's thesis has been awarded third place at this year's BEGIS BIM Award. The award ceremony took place during the 7th BIM Dialogue 7. BIM Dialogs in Düsseldorf, where the thesis was presented to an expert audience.
In his master's thesis, Jens Wala developed an innovative microservice architecture for the decentralized and flexible management of building lifecycle data. The approach aims to enhance collaboration and facilitate secure data exchange among various project participants in the construction industry by leveraging technologies from the manufacturing industry and the Semantic Web.
“I am very pleased with the award, which shows how important open, flexible IT solutions are for the construction industry's future,” said Jens Wala.
