Since the first of December there is a new face in the ranks of the Institute of Numerical Methods and Informatics in Civil Engineering. André Hoffmann, M.Sc., has started his work as a research assistant. As such, the number of PhD candidates is back to nine.

New at IIB: André Hoffmann

The Institute of Numerical Methods and Informatics in Civil Engineering welcomes its newest employee. Among other tasks, André Hoffmann, M.Sc., will be responsible for the coordination of the lecturing course “Databases for Engineering Applications (DFI)” together with Marcus Dombois, M.Sc., starting the coming summer term.

He completed his master's degree in Computational Engineering with a thesis on the topic “Optimization methods for the calibration of typology-based energetic building models”. His prospective research areas are Building Information Modeling (BIM), energy simulations with machine learning methods and digital optimization.

We wish him all the best for his new challenge and a great time at IIB!
