There are several interaction mechanics available for interacting with objects in an immersive VR/AR environment. These include haptic operation (controller, touch), voice input, eye tracking and gesture recognition. In a (opens in new tab), the Virtual Dimension Center (VDC) Fellbach states that the individual interaction mechanisms are well researched in themselves, but that they have favoured the development of isolated solutions. Within the framework of the thesis, an immersive test environment should be created with the help of the game engine Unity to compare the aforementioned interaction mechanics. Subsequently, user studies should be carried out to allow an evaluation of the interaction mechanics with regard to efficiency, effectiveness and intuitiveness. Finally, guidelines for the development of new VR/AR applications in the building and environmental sector should be established.
